On Saturday, March 24th, we received information that our friend Ric Dodge, Cumberland County Director, was admitted to Maine Medical Center, Portland with a head injury, sustained in a fall. Darrell and DeeDee were finally permitted to visit him on Saturday, March 31st. Prior to that, he was in intensive care and unable to have visitors. Although conscious, Ric is still not completely aware of his surroundings, but he is on the mend. The hospital address is: 22 Bramhall Street, Portland ME, 04102. The phone number is 207-662-0111.

Our thoughts and prayers are with ole Ricker.

Welcome to the United Bikers of Maine An Organization Dedicated to All Motorcyclists

UBM

LET THOSE WHO RIDE DECIDE

The United Bikers of Maine (UBM) is a motorcycle rights organization dedicated to all motorcyclists regardless of the brand of motorcycle they ride. The UBM is made up on many different people who share one common thread that ties us together, we ride and love motorcycles.

We have a voice in the decisions that are made regarding motorcycling, not only in Maine but also at the federal level in Washington D.C. UBM stands for ensuring your rights as a motorcyclist by fighting “anti-motorcycle” legislation and promoting “fair” motorcycle legislation. Along with the Maine Motorcycle Political Action Committee (MMPAC) we are the only groups in the state that defend your rights during Legislative sessions.

UBM does not advocate that you ride without a helmet, only that you have the right to make that decision for yourself. Although many people do not realize it, Maine does have and existing helmet law that requires operators with a learner’s permit, operators/passengers under the age of 18 and first year operators to wear a helmet. UBM encourages the participation and enforcement of this law.

THIS IS WHAT WE DO!
